Robotic Vacuums Buyer’s Guide
With so many cleaning robots on the market, it’s easy to get lost in the many features that everyone could have. However, there are some technologies and features that potential buyers should take into account before they submerge. Some of these features are standard on almost all admission robots. Others are considered bonuses, or as methods to try to make the product more useful, effective and ultimately more attractive to buyers. What they are looking for will depend on what they are willing to pay and what they are really useful for.
Best to keep in mind, it is, however, that you may not need everything to make the most of your robot vacuum cleaner, and only the last bells and whistles do not make the robot vacuum.
One of the main features of all vacuum cleaners is called “avoidance technology.” This is a combination of sensors on the robot body that helps prevent different obstacles. At a minimum, include a robot vacuum, and should include both
- The slope sensors
Each robot vacuum includes slope sensors as standard practice now. These sensors, which are placed on the sub-wind bot, are located near the front and sometimes the rear of the machine. The cliff sensor is usually an optical sensor that determines the level – similar to the optical laser sensor in a digital mouse. The sensor will determine how far the robot is the nearest surface. If the robot is about to cross a cliff (for example, stairs), it returns a switch or affects the software and rotates the robot immediately. Most robot vacuum cleaners have a cliff sensor set a few inches. This allows the machine to go beyond the small bumps, but avoid the disastrous fall of the ladder.
Bumpers are often included on the front side of a vacuum robot that allows it to be recognized when an object is hit. Usually padding, which allows the robot to know that it has to move in another direction. The sensors on the bumper are mechanical, full when the machine came back to something. There are other types of sensors that can be found in a suction robot beyond these. Some high-end robots even use ultrasound technology to map rooms and avoid objects
