Sound quality

Weight
For any portable device, weight can play a big factor. If not, we’d all be lugging heavy and bulky surround systems with us. Take into consideration that higher weight does not always equate to quality, and that lighter, newer models can offer the same, if not better quality, along with the better portability.

Another major factor in portability is size. While most bluetooth speakers will readily fit into any backpack or most regular bags, you’d want to leave room for something else as well. As with anything worth buying, the price can play a big factor. Bluetooth speakers are no exception to this rule. With bluetooth speakers, you get what you pay for most of the time.

While it is easy to find cheaper models, they are heavily overshadowed by the high-end ones for build, sound and battery quality. For the general audience, a mid-range product that doesn’t strain your wallet too hard is a perfect fit, however, for the audiophile, or the outdoorsman with specific needs, it might be a better idea to spend a bit more and get one of the higher-end models.
However, if portability is a major issue, you might choose to get one of the smallest models, that you can easily fit inside your pocket. It is very important to be careful when choosing here, as the low-range models usually won’t last long, so it might be a bit better to spend more.
